I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I don’t mention anything about a Brush Heavy style in the tutorial, I do however point you to a Heavy Scratch brush (hopefully that’s what you’re looking for) which is available in the download file at the end of the lesson. Just download the .zip file and install the brush set in Photoshop.
